Are you satiated? Did your assault upon our bun stronghold relieve you of your perishing hunger? Or are you preparing another volley for this evening?
If so, we are ready for you. Walls of potato salad, strong and high. A river of red curry to slow your approach. Korean taco bowls to be dumped from the ramparts, etc.
I might be asleep though, as these seventy hour weeks are really starting to take their toll. With that in mind, might I remind you, the eating public, that we are still fucking hiring. We have not had a second kitchen person since ... oh, I don't know ... November of 2021. That includes the entire opening, setup, and launch of OnlyBuns so every single prep day, supply run, and shift has been worked by me, alone for the most part.
And the new floor was laid by ... me, on my day off (at least I had help for that).
I am aware this is an industry-wide problem, but I am definitely on my last legs, possibly only the one leg, or maybe just on both or even one knee. I don't have time to really check. So please, find me a capable bun person. It is not high art. I am tired of people pretending that making BUNS, which are a lot like foldable hot dogs in complexity/difficulty is a job that requires years of high-end culinary training. For god's sake the average fast food employee probably has the same learning curve and responsibilites.
But when hundreds of thousands of liars have convinced the general public that making coffee on a machine designed specifically to make coffee is akin to alchemical magic requiring superhuman skills and years of dedication in order to justify charging you £3.50 for a fucking latte a monkey could make with 20 minutes of training and a banana to motivate it then I guess working in a glorified sandwich shop must seem like an insurmoutable hurdle for the common worker.
I assure you, it is not.
